It is important to understand that the SAT examination
tests your skills and intelligence. Many of the questions require you
to use common sense. If you treat all the questions analytically, you
will probably miss the simple common sense answer. In the coming weeks
I will examine many different types of questions. Hopefully you will
attempt these questions and start to see the "common sense" approach
of taking the SAT.
As a preparer for the SAT examination for over twenty years, I have
designed a method to increase my student's scores by an average of 170 points
using my techniques. However, I must remind everyone there is no substitute
for hard work and practice. Most of my students spend an average of
two hours a week for twenty-two weeks practicing my techniques. If you are
interested in my techniques, please send me an e-mail. If you find yourself
becoming more comfortable taking the practice examinations, give yourself "a
pat on the back." If you know other students who are interested in getting a
higher grade on the SAT, create a study group and e-mail me as a group. I am
in the process of putting together a weekly guide for preparing for the SAT and
hopefully you will try it. Finally, do not give up. The more work you put into
your preparation the higher you will score.
